FAR 91.3 The pilot must be able to explain and interpret all of the maintenance records. AROW Airworthiness, registration, POH or pilot operating handbook (equivalent), and weight/balance papers must be in the aircraft. A legal entry may not be a helpful entry. A good logbook will have a master reference sheet. Use a computerized AD list indexed to log book to confirm compliance. Logbook is good place to keep monthly VOR checks.
